1. Agra

Agra is probably the most famous city in India around all over the world because of the magnificent Taj Mahal. It is located in India’s province Uttar Pradesh, which is the northern side of India. It is just 3 and a half hour drive far from Delhi. The primary purpose of peoples to visit Agra is to see Taj Mahal which was made in 1632 by the Mughal Kingdom. There are also many more places to visit here which includes Agra Fort, Tomb of I’timād-Ud-Daulah, Akbar’s tomb, Mehtab Bagh, Moti Masjid and many more. How to reach:

You can reach Agra from New Delhi by travelling in a train. To travel from New Delhi to Agra, train takes approximately 1 h 25 m.

Travelling in a bus is the alternate route to reach Agra from New Delhi. The total journey between New Delhi & Agra takes around 3 h 43 m.

Vrindavan is a holy town in Uttar Pradesh, northern India. It is a religious city. Majority of the places to visit there relies on the Hindus religion. The Hindus’ god Krishna is said to have spent his childhood in Vrindavan. It is bulk of temples, and many dedicated to Krishna and his lover, the Radha. Vrindavan is 184km away from Delhi making a drive of almost 3 hours. There are many places to visit such as Banke Bihari Temple, Krishna Balaram Mandir, Prem Mandir, Vrindavan, Sri Rangji Mandir and more. The best time to visit it is from March to April.

How to reach:

Mathura is the nearest long distance railway station to Brindavan at 14 km distance. From there locale passenger train can be taken

Buses from Delhi are more frequently available for Mathura than Brindavan. However, direct bus to Brindavan can also be opted for if you have ample time to wait.

 

3. Mathura

 

Mathura is a city in India. It is located in Uttar Pradesh, northern India and it is just 164 kilometers away from Delhi. Mathura is famous because of a temple named Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi where the deity Lord Krishna was born. It is surrounded by many cities like Agra District (from the north), Rajasthan (from the west) and Haryana (from the northwest). This is a holy place for the Hindus and also a pilgrimage center for them that’s why many towns have banned alcohol and non-veg food in the district, and no one can do anything against the law.

How to reach:

Mathura Railway station is well connected to Delhi by both road and rail. Frequent trains and bus runs between both these locations.  It takes 3 hr 45 min to travel to Mathura from Delhi by train.

 

4. Alwar

Alwar is a city and located in the northern state of Rajasthan in India. There are many exciting things in Alwar like a museum which has rare manuscripts and Moosi Maharani Chhatri shrine which is is the main attraction of this city. There is an also steep path which leads to the Bala Qila Fort. Alwar district has the area of more than 8,000 kilometers. There is a large number of population in the city, and it is the third most populous district of Rajasthan out of 33. Alwar is a large district, and it has 33 tehsils.

How to reach:

It takes almost 3 hours 35 min approx to reach Alwar from Delhi. It is well connected to Delhi by both road and railways and has frequent means of transport.

 

5. Jaipur

Jaipur is the largest City of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is on the Nothern side of India and also the capital of the Rajasthan state. Jai Singh founded it on 18 November 1727 that’s why its name is Jaipur. In 2011, the population recorded in this city was 3.1 million, and it was known as the tenth most populous city in India. Jaipur is also known as a Pink city because of the color of buildings in the town. It is located 280 kilometers away from the capital city Delhi.  It is a favorite place among the tourists because there is much attractions and places to visit in the Jaipur. Ajmer and Pushkar are two nearby locations that are a must visit while touring Jaipur if possible.

How to reach:

Jaipur is well connected to Delhi by Flight, rail and road. By road and rail it takes approximately 6 hr 30 m, while by flight it takes 45 min.

 

6. Neemrana

Neemrana is a historical and famous town in the district of Rajasthan, India. It is located 122 kilometers away from New Delhi and 150 kilometers from Jaipur. This is an industrial hub and known as mini Japan in India. It was occupied in the 16th century by the Chauhans till 1947. Many visitors visit Neemrana every year. There is another fort some distances away from Neemrana, which is Kesroli and it is located in Alwar district. This state was managed by an agent when the Raja Janak Singh and Raja Janak Singh were young.

How to reach:

Neemrana is almost 2 hours and 20 mins away from New Delhi. There are no direct flights or trains or buses between New Delhi to Neemrana. The fastest way to reach from New Delhi to Neemrana is to take a car from New Delhi to Neemrana.

There is no direct train between New Delhi and Neemrana. You can take Chetak Exp from New Delhi to Rewari then take a taxi from Rewari to Neemrana

 

7. Noor Mahal, Karnal

9. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park is generally known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. It is located in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. It is a famous sanctuary, and there are more than a thousand birds in this sanctuary. Mostly birds arrive in the winter season. It is said that more than 200 species are resident here. 10. Damdama Lake

Damdama lake is located in Sohna which is a district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is known as one of the biggest lakes in Haryana because it has the area of 3,000 acres. It is just 58 kilometers away from New Delhi. Damdama Lake was formed in 1947 when stone and the dam was commissioned for rainwater harvesting. The lake is held by a hill, and it is fed mainly by the monsoon rain. The Lake welcomes the visitors with a deep water level which is almost down to 20 feet but during monsoon the water level reaches up to 50 feet.

 

11. Fort Unchagaon

Fort Unchagaon is located in village Unchagaon. It is just an hour away from Garhmukteshwar. It is approximately 130 kilometers away from New Delhi. This palace was renovated under the guidance of Raja Surendra Pal Singh because he inherited this fort in the early 19th century and this is the evidence the influence of the old 20th-century blend of Indian and colonial architecture. 12. Kuchesar Mud Fort

Kuchesar Fort is also known as the Mud Fort. It was manufactured in the 18th-century. This fort is located in Kuchesar (a village in India). The fort was built in 1734. It has the area of 100 acres which surrounded by the mangrove forest. This is a traditional resort by the restoration of a section of Ajit Singh’s ancestral property. It is merely 82 kilometers away from New Delhi. Murthal is a city in Sonipat, India. Sonipat is a district of Haryana in northern India. It is located estimated 13 kilometers north of Sonipat. It is located almost 45 kilometers away from Chandigarh, 35 kilometers from Panchkula and 258 kilometers from New Delhi. It is known for its beautiful scenery, flora, and lakes which are famous among the visitors. The name of Morni is believed to derive from a queen who once ruled the area hundreds of years ago. This village lies among the mountains at 4,000 feet above the sea level.

How to reach:

By train – Take train upto Kalka and travel 35 km from there in cab to reach Morni

By flight – Take flight from Delhi upto Chandigarh and travel 45 km by cab from there.

 

15. Parwanoo

Parwanoo is a municipal council in Solan. Solan is a district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is an industrial town, and it has the biggest wholesale market in the country. It is near to the Panchkula district of Haryana and Pinjore and Kalka. A riverbed separates Parwanoo from the town of Kalka. Pinjore to Parwanoon is a relaxable journey, the tourist who visits Parwanoo enjoys their tour a lot. The town is divided into six sectors. Parwanoo is an industrial town with nearly 80% of the population engaged with the industries in different ways.

How to reach:

Parwanoo is 344 kilometers from New Delhi.

Flight (3hrs) – Take a flight from New Delhi to Chandigarh then take cab from Chandigarh to Parwanoo 35 km away.

Train (5 hr 30 min) – You can take Kalka Shatabdi from New Delhi to Kalka then take a taxi from Kalka to Parwanoo 5 km away.

Bus (6hr 30 min) – Take Abtc Volvo Bus Service from New Delhi to Ambala Cantt then take cab from Ambala Cantt to Parwanoo 60 km away.
